Our Wedding

Our story starts in 2020 when everything was put on pause and the only way to talk and meet new people was online. Ben was in Odessa, TX for work and I was finishing my associates in Hobbs, NM when we both decided to get on Bumble and both thought each other to be pretty cute. Mind you Ben's profile picture was of him at a wedding looking very dapper... there were not a lot of barbers open in 2020. We met at a park in Hobbs and I brought my younger sister (just in case, I had to bring a witness) it was the most public place that was open. I remember picking out a cute shirt and curling my hair and Ben was sure to put on his best turquoise shorts with his matching purple and turquoise Alice in Wonderland socks. Talking to Ben we began to realize how much we had in common and how hilarious we found each other. We laughed and ate food truck tacos that we still get every time we visit Hobbs. By the end we both could not stop smiling and Kimber even mentioned how much she liked him which was a big deal for her because she did not like any of my ex boyfriends. We continued to have mini dates until Ben got moved to Santa Fe, NM. I decided to tell Ben that I enjoyed baking and did it quite often (I believe I had only baked 5 times in my life at this point) he told me how he loved apple pies, of course I had never made a pie before but I was up for the challenge. The day before I drove to Santa Fe I bought everything to make an apple pie and decided to embark on this challenge with my mom who laughed and told me good luck. I do believe Ben's exact words were "best apple pie ever" I then proceeded to tell him that if he wanted to ask me to be his girlfriend again this time I would say yes. We then started our relationship as being long distance which was a challenge to us both however we were able to go on many adventures together and Ben's job brought us to places we would have never considered going to before. We supported each other through all of the moves, nursing school, and all of the other challenges life threw at us until finally in 2024 we were able to move to Oklahoma and be together. Oklahoma was not my first choice however it has brought us such amazing memories and friendships. In November 2024 Ben planned a beautiful trip to Turner falls, he hired a photographer, planned it so that my family could surprise me there, and chose a stunning cabin all so that he could propose. We have 5 years of our story to share and we cannot wait for the many more years of stories we will create together. Thank you to everyone who plans to share in one of the biggest plot points to our story, we love you all!

Kimber is Kaitlyn’s first and longest friend and the best little sister Kaitlyn could have asked for. She’s smart, funny, and kind—someone everyone who meets her instantly loves. We’re so blessed to have Kimber in our lives, and Kaitlyn is honored to have her by her side on this special day.

Callie is Ben’s older sister and a constant source of love and support. Spontaneous, warm, and compassionate, she brings joy to every room and has always been there for both of us. We’re so grateful to have Callie standing with us on our wedding day.

Claire and Kaitlyn have been friends since elementary school, starting with the time they hid together from their dance teacher. Claire has stood with Kaitlyn through many milestones and remains a constant, supportive presence; Kaitlyn is so happy to have her by her side on the wedding day.

Claire Newey 

Dani and Kaitlyn met after Kaitlyn moved to Oklahoma and clicked instantly, becoming fast friends. They’ve shared adventures, inside jokes, and steady support through new chapters. Kaitlyn is grateful for Dani’s friendship and honored to have her standing by her side on the big day.

Abbey became part of our circle through Ben’s work, and we couldn’t be more grateful. She and Kaitlyn first met at a Brazilian steakhouse in the city—Kaitlyn talked nonstop, and the conversation clicked. Over time they’ve grown closer, sharing laughs, stories, and support. Kaitlyn is thrilled to have Abbey standing up at the altar with her.

Will and Ben have been inseparable since they were four, growing up side by side and making memories from neighborhood adventures to road-trip escapades. Will’s quick humor and steady support have been a constant through every milestone. Even now, despite the miles, they stay close—catching up over video games and long calls. Ben is honored to have Will as his best man.

Will Reichart 

Nash is Ben’s older brother and a constant source of encouragement—especially when it comes to baseball and Ben’s career. Always ready with practical advice and unwavering support, Nash has helped shape who Ben is today. Ben is honored to have him stand at the altar as a groomsman.

Nash Hensen

Ryan is Kaitlyn’s brother and has adored Ben from the start. Ryan and Ben bond over video games and always have a great time at family gatherings. They share many interests, and Ryan’s easygoing support means a lot to both of them. Ben is grateful to have him standing at the altar as a groomsman.

Ryan Davis

Tyler was one of Ben’s closest college friends and attended wind school with him. Their friendship grew through travel assignments where they met each other’s families and made lasting memories. Ben is grateful to have Tyler at the altar as one of his groomsmen.

Tyler Hottinger

Ben and Ben have a lot in common — and not just their names. They met at work and quickly became close friends, always making time to get their girlfriend (now soon to be wives) together so everyone could hang out. The two share a love of softball, regular nights at Casa Pericos, and countless memories, including standing in each other’s weddings. Ben is grateful to have Ben Garza by his side on this special day.
